the early days:

We did not start out as Business Developers. At least, not consciously.

Incorporating in 2008, BizGen Ltd began as a web design and development company specialising in helping small business start-ups and young businesses to develop through cost effective Internet marketing. Wherever possible we would offer a one-stop shop from hosting to design and build and ongoing promotion.

partnering up:

During this time we were fortunate enough to meet and partner with some first class businesses who enabled us to extend the services offered beyond websites into printing, marketing, IT solutions, telecoms and so on. In fact, through our network of B2B contacts there were few services that we were unable to recommend to our clients when they needed.

building experience:

Simultaneously we had started to develop our own separate projects and business models. Many of these are websites such as which generate a revenue stream from advertising relative to the traffic they generate. Some are websites with more traditional revenue models behind them, e.g. retail, while others are business models which are not necessarily web driven.

building reputation:

This unusual combination of client and non-client development, together with our network of recommended services, somehow seeded our reputation as a company that can help others develop and build their businesses. In fact, in the last 3 years we have not only helped people do just that, but have become directly engaged as part owners with a number of businesses with whom we have chosen to partner on a more formal basis.


Today we continue to look after our existing website clients, many of whom have been with us from the start, and we look forward to continuing to help their businesses grow in the future.

However, we are not currently actively seeking to take on new website clients, preferring instead to focus our attention and resources on the areas of our business that are most important to us:

  • our existing web-related clients
  • business development consultancy
  • our own current and planned business ventures
  • our collaborative business partnerships
